Frozen daffs

A lovely day today. Clear blue skies. Sunshine with a hint of warmth.

After Sunday School I took my elderly blind aunt to the memorial chapel fr her to remember her mother who passed away on this day. It was good to make the walk in the sunshine and to sit for a few moments.

Then some time in the garden tidying up and weeding. The ground was cold but it was surprising how much growth is going on. The new poppies are leafing up and various new shoots and buds are appearing. Along with the increasing colour.

I took this early this morning with the overnight frost still visible on top of one of the daffodils. These hardy bulbs have been ahead of all the others but despite the cold nights seem to be thriving.
