Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary ....

In order to take advantage of the beautiful warm temperatures today we took a short ride to Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary, which is not far from our home.

We have been there before and saw a wide variety of wildlife, including chipmunks, Eastern grey squirrels and red squirrels.  And today was no different ... we saw all of those plus a lot of different birds.  The chipmunk sighting was very brief so I didn't get a picture of him/her.  Same with the red squirrel.

Among the different birds was this beautiful tufted titmouse .... a winter visitor for us.  I see them occasionally at home, but this is first time this winter I have been able to get a photograph of one.

Some of the other birds we saw were cardinals, hairy woodpeckers, chickadees, American goldfinches, downy woodpeckers, nuthatches and ground sparrows.

It was a good day.
