Peppa meets Porklandia

Delayed gratification paid off at last, as Bella has finally taken possession of her own Peppa Pig characters. Her first idea for today was to take them to meet Porky, Petunia, and Porklandia, the cast aluminum pigs so well-known in my neighborhood. Then she wanted to go to the library in search of books and movies about pigs, I suppose so that the new members of the family could see themselves reflected in literature and film. Too bad the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences doesn’t have the same consideration for American minorities.
