BethaBlip 111...

This is my monthly track of my children as they grow to see how they change as time goes by. I take the same photo in the same place each 1st and 15th of each month along with a wee diary of what has happened and how life has progressed for each of them. Bethany on the 1st and Ewan on the 15th. It is quite remarkable and is accentuated by the 1 year ago thumbnail down in the bottom right.

Bethany’s class organised a ceilidh as part of their scottish culture learning.  MrsTFP was working but we invited Granny and Grandpa.  It was a great night.  They hired a band, had poetry readings of which Bethany did one, choir singing and refreshments.  I also got to dance with my daughter which was a first.

The cubs are doing a trip to the south of England to Brownsea Island.  When it was first announced, we thought it’d be good for Bethany.  In the last couple of weeks we’ve had talks with the organisers who managed to get her from the waiting list to actually going on the trip.  Unfortunately, this time coincided with Bethany becoming very needy with her mum and not sleeping very well.  We had to take the rather gut wrenching decision to cancel her going.  It wasn’t very nice for her or us but we are looking at other closer to home things to do in place of it.

The school was taking part in jump for heart charity.  It was a sponsored skipping challenge.  It’s been really great as it’s gotten the whole school skipping.  It reminds me of when CocaCola did the recreated the YoYo craze when I was at school.
