Red-wattled Lapwing (Vanellus indicus)

This Red-wattled Lapwing has just had a wash in the river and is shaking off the excess water. There are a great deal of paired up Lapwings in the Wadi so chicks must be on the horizon. Oman is enjoying a rather lovely wet season at the moment and the weather forecast says more rain over a period of 5 plus days, which is great especially as after all this, the temperature in Oman starts to really climb. Many thanks for all the comments, hearts and stars for my Eagle and fluffy Kingfisher, I've been involved in a big photography job which has been taking up all my time, but I've finished it now so I can devote a bit more time to blipfoto. I love the return to the black and white 'clean' look.
