Heuglin's Gull

Very windy and so not a great day for birding, other than watching Gulls, who thrive on the strong sea breezes. I had a
great deal of difficulty holding the lens steady, but eventually tracked a Heuglin's Gull enjoying the wind. This Gull is also known as the Siberian Gull and is a very large Gull with a big wingspan. You can see the look this bird is giving me with his red rimmed eye and his red spotted beak. How they keep so immaculately turned out is beyond me, but I'm begining to wonder whether they get their white from sun bleaching. Back to sunny and dry after a bit of rain in Muscat.
