Eucalyptus tree
long branches of ancestry
swaying in the breeze

Mum and I took a wander round the old QEII Park which was severely damaged during the earthquakes. All that remains are the tall Eucalyptus trees, sealed roads with potholes and the indentation of an athletics track on the landscape. In the future two schools will have buildings on the site, a new beginning.

Daughter E is quietly sleeping after having her wisdom teeth removed. Not an easy process for her or I, thankful to have mum with me today.
