It was great weather for staying indoors, and Smokey agreed, being quick to take up position on the tall table in the front upstairs room.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Beatles - I'm Happy Just To Dance With You  (recorded 1 March 1964)
Recorded  on this day 52 years ago, I'm Happy Just to Dance with You is a song written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney for the film A Hard Day's Night.
Traditionally Beatle albums each had one lead vocal by George and one by Ringo and this was especially composed for George to sing. Knocked up quickly to a formula, neither of its composers considered it a great work. John Lennon later said, "I would never have sung it myself". I think this shows that even Beatle throwaways surpassed even the best efforts of their competitors.
Ringo had recorded Carl Perkins' Matchbox  for the album but this instead found its way onto the Long Tall Sally EP, making this the first Beatle album to wholly consist of Lennon and McCartney compositions. Side One of the vinyl album were by the Beatles from the soundtrack and in the UK on side two were more Beatle songs considered for the film, whilst in the US there were versions of Beatle songs performed by the George Martin Orchestra.
