Wig Bay

There was a spare place left in the car for the Dunscore Birdwatching Group trip to Loch Ryan. A 2-hour drive, but through the beautiful scenery of Dumfries and Galloway. We started off near the ferry terminal and then worked our way around the loch to Wig Bay, where seaplanes used to take off during WW2.
It was so cold! But we saw an impressive number and variety of birds, including Brent Geese, Slavonian Grebes, Stonechats and Scoter ducks.  Even an albino oystercatcher!
Stopped on the way home at The Teapot tearoom near Cardoness to warm up :-)
