Built on Accrington brick

Today I took a work flight to New York. After settling in to the hotel we went for dinner and to briefly see some of Manhattan at night.

Today's back blip is a view from the Rockefeller Center looking towards the Empire State building to the south of it. Interesting the foundations of this building are made from fine Accrington brick all the way from Lancashire, England.

EDIT: Note that the EXIF data is wrong and this should be for the 27th not the 28th. See also Extra photos for both days. Today's actual photos are in the Extra section.

Today I woke up at silly o'clock and after waiting a while went down for breakfast. After breakfast we all went for a walk in Central Park, then we split up and I went to the USS Intrepid and then to down-town Manhattan to go shopping at REI. I finished up on the Brooklyn Bridge, where I managed to get a tiny picture of Miss Liberty, before walking back up Broadway to the hotel. Once we had all met up we took a taxi to our hotel in New Jersey for work tomorrow.
