Ava Rollason

There was an event at The Forum to celebrate International Women's Day called 'Different Stories, Different Lives' which included talks.  One of these was by Ava Rollason, a transgender woman who we see here.  Ava shared her journey from young boy to the woman she is now.  It was honest, funny, harrowing, moving and thought provoking, raising many issues about how society tells us men and women 'should' look and behave.

It was a pleasant way to spend a cold, rainy afternoon.  On Tuesday, the actual International Women's Day, I'm meeting up with a few women friends for drinks and chat after work.  As you do.
