The Edge of the Wold

Snow Gus

This is what we woke to on Friday morning.  It had been raining heavily as we went to bed, then at some point in the night, a dump of heavy, wet snow came down.  It was already melting fast as Gus and I walked up the Knott, the tree canopy was dripping like a rain forest.  He loves the snow, he keeps taking little mouthfuls, and each time he had a little speck of snow on his nose, though he always licked it off before I could focus the camera.

In the evening, we drove across to BW, the snow had largely gone by then.  A delicious meal was waiting for us.  It was a flying visit for a meeting on Saturday morning, followed by a drive to Derbyshire - more of that later.
