The blipper's friend

Tulips -- catching the morning sun. A lazy breakfast-time blip; it's unusual for me to get one in the can so early in the day. I tried a mono version, but I like this cheery pink too much. I'm hoping they'll provide more blips later in the week.

In other news, I tried to learn the German words of the (too many) pieces for the choir concert; and the out-of-control sourdough starter was an excuse to make another 30 blini.  With buckwheat this time, but I actually prefer the spelt version; spelt has such a delicious flavour. This weekend I also made some home-made oatcakes, which were surprisingly good; too crumbly, but a lovely oaty flavour.
