I Got Lucky
I was watching the hawk through the camera for awhile and then, bam!, he took off. Usually in these situations I find a foot or a tail feather in the frame, but (accidental) timing is everything. Red tail hawk, and I'm guessing a juvenile, since he looked kind of downy and fuzzier that others I've seen out there.
After yesterday's scary wind and rain, we had a glorious clear blue day. But I can hear the storm building again as I sit here. The palms across the way are hissing, and the various wind chimes are sending mournful sounds between the gusts.Supposed to be thunder, maybe hail, lots of rain. Time to unplug the computer.
