Delighted to have an Artist in Residence for nearly two weeks - Michael is a professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and fortunately, a friend of my art colleagues here.  Visiting Istanbul, he has come to work with us for the next ten days.  My class absorbed his calm and inspiring presence like a thirsty plant soaks up water and I revisited what it is like to be the learner as I watched him in action.
