In and out and roundabout

Today's Mono Monday's theme of 'Entrances and Exits' (thank you Chantler63 for hosting this month) idly but inevitably on this less than interesting day, led me to the idea of 'escape' - for living on this beautiful campus often referred to as  'Paradise' can in fact sometimes feel more like being in a gilded cage...   So here is a nothing-clever straightforward shot of the fire escape on the side of my apartment building used daily by Elizabeth and Caroline to exit and enter our home.  That's it.

Oh, and I have bought my airline ticket to go home for Spring break.

Oh, and a suitable quote:

"All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts"   - "As You Like It"  Act II, Scene 7 - William Shakespeare

Oh,  and couldn't resist probably the most famous musical entry ever, here

Oh, and some arrival music here

Oh,  and of course the staircase song here :))  (thanks 'A New Day' for the idea)

and finally, the poetic words on our inevitable exit from John Donne:

"No man is an island, entire of itself; every
man is a piece of the continent, a part of the
main. If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory
were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or
of thine own were: any man's death diminishes
me, because I am involved in mankind, and
therefore never send to know for whom the bells
tolls; it tolls for thee."
 - John Donne 1624
