Cousin Dorothy

His Lordship and I dug deep into our pockets and travelled over the Forth today  by rail instead of bus to lunch in Perth with HL's cousins who travelled down from Forfar to meet in a sort of half way house as it were.

We were somewhat surprised how cold it felt in the Fair City compared with Edinburgh. This was indeed bad news for the amount of blipping that could be tolerated by my shivering side kick waiting in the wings.
My favoured blip is of Dorothy my cousin by marriage, looking her usual  regal and elegant self.

The sun came out in the afternoon, and from the warmth of the train homeward bound, the country side looked very Spring like with blue seas reflecting the sky, tractors out and fields newly ploughed to  a beautiful deep brown, contrasting with the green of uncultivated fields.
However there was still too much waterlogged land left after the wet winter.
My extra image was taken out of the train window as we crossed the railway bridge at North Queensferry.
