Western Reef Heron(Egretta gularis)

This lovely small Heron is now sporting very fetching head plumes, presumably to attract the females. He is also showing off as 'king of the castle' on a rock until another Reef Heron came across and tried to see him off.
The extra is our local beach with some very stormy looking clouds. The good news is the birds are back, but where do they go when the weather is really bad? It was if they had all flown away together.
