Castillo Santa Barbara

Being our first full day here, and not that hot, we went for a drive around Lanzarote and ended up at The National Park. It's not as nice as Tenerife National Park cannot drive around but rather have to pay 9 euros each and be taken around it in a coach. It was the same when we were here some fifteen odd years ago, with our two youngest boys. The extra shows a scene from the park. It surprising how little we remember of Lanazarote despite being here twice many years ago!

Afterwards we headed to Castillo Santa Barbara near Teguise. The castle is now a pirate museum and stands on top of a hill. I preferrred it in black and white set against the lovely clouds on this breezy day.
