Paturau

Oh boy - did I sleep well last night! Woke a few times during the night but easily dropped back to deep, restful and recuperative sleep. Nice :)

A slow day today - late breakfast on the beach (kind of), a short drive to Puponga just for a quick look around (there was some serious tree felling going on at the rest area I was going to spend some time in so that put pay to any thoughts of a quiet hour or so reading). Instead turned around and headed towards Paturau. If I thought last night was a little remote then it's nothing compared to this place. A couple of homesteads (not sure if they have permanent residents or are just holiday homes) then nothing but the Tasman Sea.

What a beautiful afternoon it turned out to be after a rather grey looking start - warm enough to wear just a sleeveless jacket - just a mild breeze and the sun breaking long enough to enjoy a walk before it set on another fine day.

My lullaby tonight will the sound of the ocean crashing just metres away from me. Sweet!
