Cambridge Science Festival

Today Mrs GOG and I went to visit the Cambridge Science Festival.  Why?  Because it was there.  We had a very enjoyable time wandering around the various exhibits, some were designed quite specifically to interest to children in science and even though I am perhaps in my second childhood, we tended to avoid the majority of these, which were hands on.  However, we had the chance to discuss advances in science, mainly in the biological sciences, but also in psychology and a couple of other areas, with the PhD students who were conducting this specific research work towards their doctorate.  We thoroughly enjoyed it and hoped that we did not ask too many stupid questions.

The reason for this particular picture is that it was taken from the cafeteria windows of the University Centre, of which Mrs GOG and I are members and which was the location for a couple of the exhibits.  While we were having out coffee and cake, I took this picture of the river Cam directly in front of the Centre.
