Richmond

We were up before the crack of dawn this morning, well strictly speaking it wasn't as it was light at 6am when I arose. We were planning on catching the 8:30 train from Evesham to Reading, then catching the commuter train to Richmond.

Emma and Andy have moved into their 'new' flat in St Margarets and we were traveling down to visit them for the day and see how they're getting on. Considering they only completed on the flat a week or so back they have been working very hard getting the flat as they want it, including extensive cleaning, painting, window frame stripping and fitting new lights.

We went to a great cafe in St Margarets for lunch then a coffee shop. Except for Tesco Express there are no chain shops or cafes in the town, a very interesting place just across the river from Richmond.

We managed to avoid the rugby fans at Twickenham just down the road who would be swamping the train back to Reading, though the local pubs were crowded with fans without tickets.

The photo is of Evesham station in the early morning mist.
