Lamb Watch

Day two of the Little Misses' sociable weekend today.
We went to Miss A's house to see some of their lambs which have been born in the last few weeks.  They were very sweet! A neighbour tried to round one or two up for the children to hold but the lambs - and their mummies - were having none of it!!
It was freezing and foggy when this was taken. Naturally half an hour later it was glorious Spring sunshine and about fifteen degrees warmer!
From there we went to Sainsburys to stock up on Miss L's favourite gluten free snacks - salt and vinegar crackers.
It turns out they're wheat free but not gluten free. Oops! Miss L was distraught as she loves them and can't understand why one day I said they were fine and now they're not. At least we found out now because she's been having a packet a day for weeks which is no good at all.
To make it up to her we went to Harris + Hoole for a Sunday afternoon cup of tea and her usual chicken drumsticks!
As we were there I bought the ingredients for Nigella's scrumptious chocolate brownies. As you use ground almonds rather than flour they're gluten free, woohoo!
And as you use tons of butter, sugar and chocolate they're proper tasty!!!
Before baking, the afternoon was spent arguing about homework, doing homework, moaning about piano practise and doing about five minutes of piano practise!
Then we made our brownies and all was well with the world!
Until post dinner sugar fuelled over-tiredness kicked in. Sigh!!
Early nights all round.
