A week of goodbyes

Yesterday it was Sylvia Anderson. Today we lost Cliff Michelmore and Paul Daniels. 

I loved Thunderbirds first time round. Cliff Michelmore was the reassuring, trusted and authoritative voice of the BBC in my childhood. Paul Daniels - well, I liked him, not a lot, but I liked him.

It was goodbye to my work colleague Carol - one of the longstanding members of the team who retired today. And I've been invited to a party for another three friends and ex-colleagues from Environmental Health who are retiring tomorrow.
