Spring moths continued....

This little beauty caught recently in my moth trap is a Hebrew character Orthosia gothica, a common and variable early spring moth flying in one generation in March and April.
This one posed happily for me on a flower from my Magnolia stellata bush which is sort of flowering in the front garden. I say sort of because some of the blooms are fully out and the rest are still tight buds, I think the cold weather arrived just at the wrong time!
Running the moth trap again tonight for the Garden  Moth Scheme, but it's flippin' freezing outside so I don't hold out much hope :-( but we'll see..
