Purple (?) Petunias................

.......................Was going to wait to see if the sun would shine on them - but it has just started to spit with rain so thought I'd better not.

(sooc except for cropping.)

They really are a gorgeous colour.

Originally from South America,most petunias seen in gardens today are hybrids - some varieties having flowers up to 4in across (these are about 2in) and some are highly scented.
In the UK they are planted in hanging baskets, pots and used for bedding out in the garden

on large, you can see all the little hairs on the leaves, which are quite sticky.
