Sunday's Riverside Walk

High Tides are over. I mean the river water level of course. Not the notorious Sunday Afternoon Boredom. Our Sundays aren’t boring. And we like to go for a riverside walk on a grey afternoon knowing that way and surroundings quite well. But there is always something new to experience. Like meeting a friend unexpectedly. Witnessing a goosefight over nesting high up in the rocky cliffs. Nothing very special in particular. Nor very thrilling and exceptional.

Just the normal Sunday afternoon things. Like a train passing to the West. A heron wading stately alongside the river bank. You sit on a bench and watch the water flowing. You try to picture the river town. You think of Mischa perhaps out at the seaside far away. This is how it is, your life now and here. It drizzels slightly. Perhaps we might return for tea. But we just walk on to the deserted foot ferry place. To look around there for a while. You see the big windmills towering behind the mountain forests of Herstelle.

Yesterday we saw these mills from a different perspective. You could cross the river and climb up over there. And look into the  Hainbach- and Höllebach-Valleys. Where we were yesterday, exploring and cleaning the Origins. But we feel perfectly fine over here now. And with back wind we walk home again. Our Hearts filled with Godly Emptiness.
