Life through the lens...

Lunch break

Difficult to describe the wonder of this landscape if you have never been.
This is Maughton Scar, which is where we stopped for lunch, about half way round our walk from Clapham, in the Yorkshire Dales.
( see map) The view is of the limestone pavement.
We had climbed up out of the village, along a bridleway towards Austwick, and then up again past the Norber Erratics. Stones and boulders over 430 million years old.
It makes you feel very small, and very young.
Such a pleasant drive to get here. Blue sky, sun shining, and all the fields full of frisky new born lambs.
Really made you glad to be alive, and full of the joys of Spring.

It is quite a tiring walk. About 9 miles.
But well worth it for the wonderful views, and beautiful countryside.

Great company, and we finished with a shandy and pint in the pub.

Will try and put a couple of extras photos up too.

Hope you have all had a good weekend.
I think we will sleep well!
