A Day Worth Recording

By Cheeseminer

DellCon Sunday

Day 3 of our 7th boardgames weekend - generally the quieter day but still enough to get three tables on the go.  Wide variety of games today - ranging from a very aesthetically pleasing walk along the east coast of Japan, through to developing atomic bombs.

Predictably the theme of the latter triggered some discussion.

My own choices would normally be to choose from the many games that don't find a need to base themselves on military history, though I was interested (as a recycled physicist) to see how Manhattan Project presented itself.  Came away more disappointed by the design than the theme.  While parts of the game mechanism are extremely elegant, the endgame design seems quite badly flawed.

Photographically - was interested to see how the new phone did panoramas.  Fuzzily, seems to be the answer.
