THE FIRST DIP IN THE MEDITERRENEAN

I landed in Malta for a family visit on Saturday evening. This morning i joined my two brothers and their wives for a cappuccino and a "pastizz" [that's a local Maltese pastry delicacy]. This small corner place - Cafe Ole' - in Sliema is a true place of encounter: a place where stories are told and news shared.

Following our own conversation and nourished with a simple, good breakfast, I joined my youngest brother and his wife for my first swim in the Mediterranean this year! The above photo shows the patch of sea where we swam and this solitary boat caught my attention.
