Shadows

I hope this isn't indicative of the type or quality of the photographs I'm going to take on my new camera, but this was taken while I was playing around with the settings on the camera.  The default set up (eg Auto ISO, compressed JPEG, sRGB colour space) is not what I expected and I can see it is going to take me a little time to adjust everything to my liking - and to discover the new functionality which my older camera didn't have.  Fun!
