Chinese Opera for Fourth Graders

My granddaughter, Julia, and her enrichment class have been studying China, and on Wednesday they invited parents and other students to see a Chinese opera. The sets and many of the costumes were made by the children, and the lines of the opera, which they sang, were written by them. It was nothing short of amazing. Here you see Julia beaming after the show was very well received. The extra lets you see some of the amazing sets, the dragon, and the Kung Fu expert. The magnolia at the top is for the name of her school: Magnolia Park.

I couldn't resist turning comments back on for Julia. Perhaps I am ready to gradually find my way back to Blip-land.
