All packed up

Thursday morning and the last of the office is packed away into the crates. The MSP office block is filled with crates and boxes as the offices have to be cleared to allow for cleaning and maintenance during dissolution.

This happens before every election, not only for the practical reasons of allowing access for the people working there during dissolution but also to deal with the fact that after an election some people's crates will be sent to their local office as they have lost their seat. Even those who are returned as MSPs often get moved to a different office to accommodate all the changes so it makes it easier to move office if all the stuff is already packed away.
