IF ONLY.....

If only we had been stronger
If only we had been braver
If only we hadn't betrayed him
If only we hadn't denied him
If only we hadn't  run away -
We wouldn't be here cowering
And fearing for our lives.
But what's done is done
And we have to suffer
The consequences of our actions
But we will always say
If only.....
Unless, of course, something happens!
