Time and Toad Wait for No Man!

My main photo is of a unseasonably early dandelion clock (hence the reference to time), which had seeded itself in one of my garden pots.

My extra is a bucket of toads!
M and I are currently volunteering with 'Toad Watch' which aims to rescue Norfolk toads crossing the road at dusk to reach their birth ponds where they return to annually to breed.
We go out at dusk and collect them from the side of the roads, count them (and sadly also those which we were unable to save), and this is all then recorded.
Across Norfolk in 2015 more than 33,000 toads were saved and helped to ponds to breed. They waste no time mating if males and the much larger females are in the bucket together.  Their gentle calls to each other sound like distant gulls calling...they are very cute.
