Funny place to find a cat

Due to a cancellation, I didn't start this morning in the office until a bit later. So S and I decided to have another night at the beach house and travel back to the city this morning. This photo was taken on Snells Beach.

After all the wind and rain of the last two days, this morning was calm, and although cloudy, there was no rain. The wind off the bay has driven a lot of weed off the flats onto the sand around the high tide line. On yesterday's middle of the day run (in between the rain) I saw a couple filling big garden bags with seaweed. There was still lots left today.

Half way along the beach was this catamaran carefully balanced on some sort of cradle. There are no wheels on it, and no ready access by tractor or such like, except along the beach. All very odd.

Pooch in front was supremely indifferent to the presence of the "cat" beside him/her. In fact shortly afterwards the seaweed had stimulated a bowel movement. I expect that the owners would have managed that appropriately.
