Persisting down.

A railway bridge, over a foot bridge over a river.

You don't see that very often.

The forecast said high winds, rain and misery, so we took the estate path up to Loch Treig and followed a very swollen river up to a very remote bothy called Staoineag. It is not the kind of place that has a lock on the front door, just a latch, the weekend residents had dumped their sleeping bags, stoves and food, and had headed for the hills. So we left them an easter egg and left the place as we found it.

I don't think it stopped raining once all day. We saw the sun as a light disk behind the clouds and were very glad to get back to the hostel.

An enjoyable day all the say.
