Between the showers

A strange day of sunshine and showers, gales and hail. A few walks were managed in between the showers. 

The ‘Julia Effect’* was nowhere near as bad as it has been, especially on Friday – the weather obviously put people off today. 
 
I was tempted to blip the extra – the two males helping out with cutting strands for the hair for doll number 3 - for the child who is insisting that everything must be pink including the hair.
   
*Julia Bradbury did a programme a week or so ago featuring the walk up to High Cup Nick, which starts in the village and goes past our house. Since then visitor numbers have been at an all time high. On Friday the village was packed to capacity with cars everywhere and we watched so many people filing past the house.  We did hope they all realised that the ‘wonderful four mile walk’ she kept talking about is actually eight miles – she omitted to mention that, once at the top, one has to get back down again!
