Old Lane Mill

I've blipped this mill before in 2014, but sadly I think its condition has deteriorated markedly since I last took a look.  The mill was built between 1825-28 and is grade 2 listed because it's the oldest and largest surviving example of a multi-storey, steam-powered, iron-framed mill in the textile centre of Halifax.  It is probably also the best preserved example for its date in Yorkshire.

Listing a property is designed to protect and preserve, but it also restricts; I fear because of the exorbitant costs which any project would involve that eventually it will deteriorate to such a point when nothing at all will be able to save it.
