Memories

Often I find myself saving photos that have very little artistic merit but remind me of events or places and people and even sometimes birds!  At the very moment I was trying to capture this male blackbird eating from the apple on the grass this female arrived to chase him off.  Late afternoon and the light on parts of the garden was lovely so I also managed quite a nice shot of the orange Spirea leaves gleaming in the sun.
