Handsome Red-Headed Dude

....also known as a male Red-Bellied Woodpecker.  

I have been trying for ages to get a shot of him as well as the female yellow-shafted Northern Flicker (see extra) that visit my feeders every day. They such amazing looking birds.  Today was my lucky day. 

Many thanks to all of you who have so generously sprinkled hearts and stars on Thursday's bluebird on the redbud tree and yesterday's bee.  It is greatly appreciated.
