On Guard

One of the disadvantages of moving on to a new job is leaving friends behind.  This morning I went out for a last visit to friends who live out of town in a beautiful piece of bush.  We were sitting on their deck when this wee South Island Robin came and perched on a grass stalk to keep an eye on us.  I think he was guarding his wife and children.

This afternoon I went to a local cafe to catch up with another friend.  Four hours later we were still sitting there.

So much for sorting and tidying today!  Ah well, the movers will pack it all, no matter what state it's in.  I just thought it would be easier in unpack if at least everything is in the right rooms!  Maybe I'll get onto it in the evenings this week.
