Acton Burnell Castle

I've had a lovely day out with Redkite.  We met at Attingham Park but judging by the number of cars there were in the car park, and their owners, we decided not to stay!  Instead we headed off to Acton Burnell and enjoyed a quieter catch-up and picnic on a log in the grounds of the derelict Castle next door to the lovely old Church there.  St Mary's, which is an active Anglican Church dating back to the Thirteenth Century.

My blip is of part of the Castle taken from the Churchyard to include the lovely display of Daffs, Aconites, and even some Cowslips.

More of the Castle in Extras and I've posted yesterday's Blip, Rebellion, this morning  if you would care to have a look, as we were late to bed last night!
