Funny day.

Lazy.

Got a burst of energy late in the afternoon and miraculously secured agreement from gals to walk along the river from East Linton to Hailes Castle.

They did ever so well. We saw deer on the way, daffies were out in full bloom. Stopped to refuel on traybake at the castle itself but the little little one lost her oomph about five minutes into the return leg, and I had to carry her most of the way back while the big little one pep talked us both back to the car with sweet and encouraging chat. Bless.

The little little one is little, but her littleness disguises the fact that she is really composed of dark matter and so weighs ten times more than one might expect.
