Arthritis

I have mentioned in recent weeks that following a recommendation from my daughter Kate, we have been feeding Flash a Turmeric/Coconut oil paste to try and help with his painful arthritis. The paste took immediate effect and has changed his life. However it can't heal him and frankly we are now simply expecting him to finally give up the struggle any hour now.

The important thing is that he seems to not be suffering any pain so long as he gets his dose. This morning got the call from Angie to bring Flash out to join Rosie and Luna for the last 30 minutes of the ride. Having lifted him out of the car, he teetered  and limped about not really wanting to join them but then after just a minute and as the joints began to warm up he started to follow them.

I took a series of photos and back home looked at them on PC - lousy and was about to delete them when I came across the idea of posting a collage showing how Flash was doing and posting this on the Turmeric Facebook Group who champion this home/self made paste. It went down a treat with the Group it would seem judging by over 200 likes (OK not a lot given there are 36,000 members).

Shows Flash lagging behind and as he gets warmer overtaking Angie and while he can't catch Luna to take his rightful position at the head of the column, he can at least protect Angie from brown bears, wild boar, lion, tigers and anything else in the catalogue of dangerous Bavarian wildlife.

Very uninspiring photo/collage unless you have been through something similar. Weather was misty in the morning but then the sun burnt it off and gave us a great +20°C day - lovely even if I only did more firewood splitting and stacking.
