Mono Monday - Fool

All that glitters is not gold....

Well I just knew that someday this little trinket would come in useful. It must be at least 25, possibly 30 years since I got it (when the children were small) and it has been lurking around in my useful bits box since then, as you can see from the state of the little cardboard box.

Natural Pyrite Crystals it says on the other side of the box. I am sure that it glittered more when I got it - it is now almost black. I did consider using a piece of sandpaper to try and brighten it a bit, but am worried it may turn to dust!

Lit by a little torch with crumpled tin foil on the background to provide some sparkle..
