Before Computers

Today was a very unpredictable day - weather-wise.  Cold, sunny, wet, sleet, hail - you name it, it happened.
We decided a visit to the Bradford Industrial Museum was a sensible option.  What a great visit.  So much to see and all made very interesting by the enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers.
This chap was showing us how a Linotype printing machine worked.
Making lines and lines of lead type in order to print a page of a magazine.  Now we just sit at a computer keyboard and type away - use upper and lower case with impunity, erase, alter fonts etc. etc.
How times have changed.
