London break

Hallo again!  N and I are enjoying a few days away in London.  Last night we went to the Impressionists exhibition at the Royal Academy showing their paintings of gardens which were wonderful (including of course Monet and his garden at Giverny and the waterlilies). And today we visited Churchill's war rooms near St James's Park, a real eye opener. as to how Britain's part in WWII was directed in such stuffy, cramped quarters underground.  Tonight we were supposed to be meeting a friend but unfortunately he has a really bad cold so we shall not be seeing him.
