A Different Beach

Zihuatanejo Bay is ringed by beaches. The four well-known, popular ones - Playas Las Gatas, La Ropa, La Madera, Principal - are easily accessible by both visitors and residents. This one, around a rocky point from town, is mostly populated by locals. Even today, with La Ropa full of bus tourists, this small isolated beach has only three couples and a couple of kids on its rocky shores. It was once a major part of Zihuatanejo, there are remnants of a pier and a couple of decayed buildings, and so undoubtably has a name, but I couldn't find it prior to this entry.
