Kelpies...

It looked like it was going to be a sunny day, so packed lunches were made and the charges and I jumped into the car and over to Falkirk to see the Kelpies.  It turns out that if you arrive before 10am, you park for free - good to know.

We had a wander round the sculptures and along the canal, before it got too busy, then spent a good while in the new visitors centre (which has a nice video about the history of Falkirk, as well as a time lapse video of the Kelpies being erected).  The boys enjoyed playing with the Lego and drawing pictures to add to the wall gallery.
An early lunch in the car, watching the dark clouds gather, we decided to head over to the Helix Park for a play - but got side tracked by stopping to watch a barge come through the locks....by the end of which, it was bucketing down.
The boys, who are pretty hardy, decided it was too wet for the park, so we headed home, wipers on full pelt.

The afternoon was spent on hamma beads, reading and footie in the garden.

Baked tattie, bath n book, then watched Force Majeure......I liked it, but I'm still unsure why.

Added a couple of more in the Extras too.
